This year Development in Gardening (DIG) will be hosting it's annual adventure trip in rural Kenya. Dates are being set for May 16-28, 2013 and will span 10 days on the ground with 2 days added on for travel. This annual trip has given donors, volunteers, and interested supporters an opportunity to not only see some of Africa's most enchanting places, but also participate in DIG's work in the field. Dates & Activities

The group will travel together departing from New York's JFK airport and traveling to Nairobi, Kenya in late May (exact dates TBD). The entire trip will last 12 days which includes travel. We will split our digging time between our Lwala Community Alliance clinic sites, our Lwala school sites, and our youth community groups from YACREN. The group will have the opportunity to help build a Home Garden, work with participants in the facility gardens, visit with participants in their homes and with their families and host a cooking class.

After our hands have become properly callused, the group will relax into a 4 day 3 night luxury safari through the Maasai Mara Wildlife Reserve. We'll spend the mornings and evenings tracking the Big Five while relaxing in some of the most rustic chic environments Africa has to offer.
